What is the difference between rookie and minors?
Rookie and 8U softball are coach pitch
Minors and 10U softball are player pitch

What is the difference between minors north and minors south?
Minors south is an introduction to player pitching.  It is a great way to get your player comfortable with kids pitching and longer games. Minors north is for more advanced players who are too young or not quite ready for Majors

I believe my son/daughter should play up a level, but the system will not allow it.
Select the option requesting your child play up a level during registration.  Once registration is complete email either [email protected] (for baseball) or [email protected] (for softball) with more information as to why the player should play up.

I cannot afford the registration fees, can I still sign up my son/daughter?

Hubbardston Youth Baseball believes all kids should get the chance to play sports and will never turn a player away.  Please contact [email protected] to request request a hardship waiver or payment plan.

When does the season begin?
For the Minors/10U level and up practices may begin indoors as early as February (dependent on HCS gym availability).  Outdoor practices will begin as soon as the weather allows and the town signs off on field usage. Games typically begin at the end of April ~ weather permitting of course!!!

What times/days are practices?
Practices will be scheduled by each individual coach and the number of practices per week typically depends on the level of play. Minors/10U levels and up may practice 2+ days per week. Tball and Rookie may only practice one day per week (coach's discretion/availability).

What days are games played?
Teams will typically have one game during the week, and one game scheduled during the weekend.  Lower levels of play - Tball and Rookie may only play one day per week (depending on the number of teams within the league)
